Loading a Roll Sheet (CG-60AR)

When using a roll sheet, the roll-placing tables or optional CG-60AR legs must be attached.

Attach the roll-placing tables.

  1. Insert the roll-placing table into the slot at the rear of the machine.

  1. Align the slots in the roll-placing table with the groove underneath the machine and slide to the left or right to attach.

  1. Attach the other roll-placing table to the machine in the same way.
  1. Adjust the roll-placing table positions to suit the roll width.

Attach the optional CG-60AR legs.

For more information on how to attach the optional CG-60AR legs, refer to the assembly instructions provided with the legs.

Load a roll sheet.

  1. Place a roll sheet on the roll-placing tables or roll bars (the legs are optional).
  • Be sure to mount with the sheet facing in the correct direction.

  1. Push back the clamp lever to raise the pinch rollers.
  1. Pass the sheet through the platen.
  • Insert the sheet between the pinch rollers and the grit rollers.
  • Align the right edge of the sheet using the vertical ribs on the platen.

  1. Move the pinch rollers to suit the sheet width.
  • Move the pinch rollers to be least 5 mm inside the sheet edges. Incorrect positioning may cause the sheet to become offset during sheet feeding.

  1. Set the clamps at both edges to High mode.
  1. If using three pinch rollers, select High mode or Low mode for the center clamp as appropriate to suit the sheet being used.
  1. The center clamps can be enabled or disabled when using three pinch rollers.
  • The center clamp should be enabled (center clamp up) if you do not wish leave pinch roller marks on the sheet.
  1. Pull out the sheet tight to eliminate any sagging.
  1. Check to confirm that the sheet has been loaded without any sagging, then pull the clamp lever toward you.

  1. Check to confirm that the pinch rollers are evenly spaced.
  • Hold the sheet between the pinch rollers and grit rollers.
  • If the spacing is not uniform, repeat all steps from the start.
  1. Press left jog_ or up jog_ to select [ROLL].
  • left jog_: If the roll sheet was loaded from the rear of the machine
  • up jog_: If the roll sheet was loaded from the front of the machine
  • Pressing the [FEED] key displays a screen for selecting the number of pinch rollers before sheet detection. Select the number of pinch rollers before performing sheet detection.
    The number of pinch rollers set here takes precedence over the number of pinch rollers using the [SET UP] - [PINCH ROLL.] menu.
  1. Press updown jog_ to select the number of pinch rollers to be used.
  1. Start sheet detection.
  • If [DUMMY CUT] is set to [ON], a dummy cut is performed after sheet detection is complete. DUMMY CUT
  1. Use [SHEET FEED] to pull out the length of sheet to be used. Sheet Feed
  • Before using the roll sheet, make sure that there is sufficient sheet for the length to be used. Feeding the sheet reduces offset when cutting and also allows you to check in advance that the sheet is not askew.
